Obama-Biden, Not the Ticket I Wanted

Don’t get me wrong. I’m a Democrat and I love Joe Biden. But I’ve never been a big Barack Obama fan and Hillary Clinton was my choice in the primaries. And I’m more than a little upset that she wasn’t even vetted by the Obama camp as a possible VP candidate.

There is no way that the Democratic candidate should be in a dead heat with John McCain. McCain has confirmed Bush policies 95% of the time. Bush is one of the least popular President’s in history and to be honest with you, I’m surprised to that Bush hasn’t been impeached. So Obama is tied with a Bush Republican in the polls and has chosen to throw away millions of votes. Hillary votes.

I’m not the only woman who’s not happy about Senator Clinton not being on the ticket. Many women I know have said, they’d vote for McCain and four years from now, push for Hillary Clinton again. As a game plan, I think four more years of Republican government is shooting yourself in the foot. But this morning, I’m thinking that maybe voting for another candidate may be the way to go. I wouldn’t vote for McCain, but it’s time to look at the alternative candidates.

I’ve always been a pragmatist about voting, and never understood why someone would vote outside the main parties. Now I get it. The Democratic party and the Obama campaign didn’t get it right. And maybe a reality check via a lot of votes going somewhere else, is in order.

Joe Biden will be 72 eight years from now. Chances are he will not be running for President.  So there is no bounce from this ticket eight years from now if Obama is elected.

Joe Biden has been a lot of people’s second choice for President and now Vice President. He’s an excellent choice to shore up Obama’s resume. But as a female - yes, I’m angry enough about Hillary to consider not voting as a Democrat this year.

I’m also glad I didn’t send give my cell number out to the Obama campaign. First to know, what a joke. I don’t need the campaign spam and NBC seems to be pretty capable of releasing the VP choice first.
